Who is eligible: U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a well-defined research or study project that makes a stay in Scandinavia essential; applicants must have completed their undergraduate education by the start of their projects in Scandinavia, and must have at least some ability in the language of the host country
What you get: Support to meet normal scholarship and travel expenses for one year

Who is eligible: Full-time CUNY undergraduate students who have completed at least 16 credits (graduating seniors are not eligible) with a G.P.A. of 3.75 or better; very strong community or student involvement is a prime requirement for consideration

Name: The Freedom Forum–NCAA Sports Journalism Scholarship 08-09
Who is eligible: College juniors with career goals in sports journalism, majors in journalism or experience in campus sports journalism; these one-year non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to juniors who will be full-time seniors in the 2008-09 academic year
What you get: Eight $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to applicants in their junior year to assist them in their senior year of study
