Retrieve Baruch Student WebMail Using POP via, Netscape Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora.
You may check your Baruch WebMail from anywhere using a web browser: http://webmail.baruch.cuny.edu.
It is also possible, however, to access your WebMail “offline” - that is, by retrieving your WebMail messages into another mailbox instead of by logging in directly to the WebMail server. It is not necessary to do this. Some students prefer this optional method if they have other, non-Baruch e-mail accounts, and they wish to consolidate their different accounts into one common mailbox.
WebMail messages can be accessed via third-party web-based e-mail systems such as Yahoo! Mail, and they can also be retrieved with e-mail client packages (for example: Eudora, Netscape Mail, Outlook) installed on your own computer. This accessibility is based on WebMail’s support of the common Internet “POP” and “IMAP” protocols.
The BCTC Helpdesk will help with basic POP configuration settings, but will not provide technical support for any third-party web-retrieval services (Yahoo! Mail, etc.) or for any POP/IMAP client software (Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.). Remember that you are responsible for the contents of any course-related e-mail or other official announcements which are sent to your Baruch WebMail address.
